We are a long established and successful cricket club. We have been in existence since at least 1914 and probably before, the initial origins have been lost in the sands of time. We initially played on the ground at the bottom of The Rye. This in now the site for the Social Club and a football pitch home to several local football clubs.
In 1980 we were lucky enough to acquire a plot of land about 400 yards further down the Rye and after much hard work by the members of the time we played our first game on our current home "The Rye Gardens" in 1981.
We currently run two sides on Saturdays both in the Morrant Four Counties Cricket league. Our 1sts being in Division 1 and Champions three times since the formation of the league in 2000. Our 2nds are in Division 3 for 2007 having won promotion last year, and remain there for 2008.
We also run one Sunday team who play Friendlies only and we have again entered the Coronation Cup with our first round opponents being home to Whitchurch.
The club welcomes new members and offers cricket to players of all standards, together with an excellent social side with many events planned throughout the year.
